Bio

Having worked at some of the top tier automotive companies and seeing the software technologies they're able to implement to their cars caught my interest. Which led me to my current career as a developer, and I now use code like I’ve used my toolbox.

Experience

My road to becoming a Full-Stack Developer.

  • 2014

    Indiana University

Studied one year of computer science with Java and some of the core fundamentals.

  • 2015-2016

    The Journey

For most of 2015 I spent my free time studying Javascript while still working a full time job. With resources from CodeCademy and FreeCodeCamp gave me a good foundation to start looking into bootcamps.

  • September 2017

    Actualize

3-month bootcamp, where I learned Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, VueJS, and more. But most importantly, I learned how to think as a software engineer and gained the ability to tackle any new technology.

  • February 2018

    Actualize Apprenticeship

Working on a software development team in an agile environment, I added features to the real CRM that Actualize uses to manage its prospective applicants. The CRM allows a user to call and text a lead through the Twilio API, and worked on features involving its UI, including an internal restructuring that transformed the app into a Single Page Application, making it much easier to use. This app uses Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, and VueJS.
